Dr. von Schoen-Angerer is certified in Pediatrics and Anthroposophic Medicine. He has a pediatric practice in Geneva, Switzerland, leads the introduction of integrative pediatrics at the department of Pediatrics, Fribourg Hospital, Switzerland and conducts research in Anthroposophic Medicine at the ARCIM Institute, Filderklinik, Germany.
Dr. von Schoen-Angerer was the executive director of Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders' (MSF) Access Campaign from 2006-2012. Prior to this he has worked or led projects in Armenia, Zimbabwe, Thailand, Nigeria, Chad, Bangladesh, India and Indonesia. He has served in different WHO advisory groups, was member of the UNITAID Executive Board and is member of the board of Knowledge Ecology International (KEI) Europe.
Tido von Schön-Angerer went to medical school in Germany and Sweden; trained in pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York; and obtained a Master of Public Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. He received the "Crystal of Hope" award for achievements in HIV/AIDS on behalf of MSF in 2006.
