Dr Marc Schlaeppi is board certified in medical oncology, internal medicine and Anthroposophic Medicine.  He is the founder and head of the Center for Integrative Medicine of the Kantonsspital St. Gallen and since 2009 co-director and member of the Scientific Committee of the Symposium Integrative Oncology and Research.

As an adjunct professor for complementary medicine he gives lectures at the University of Zurich and the University of Lausanne on a regular basis. In addition, Dr Schlaeppi is board member of the European Society for Integrative Oncology ESIO, Responsible Editor für CAM – Cancer and Scientific Advisory Board member of the Competence Network Complementary Medicine in Oncology KOKON (Kompetenznetz Komplementärmedizin in der Onkologie), which is supported by the German Cancer Aid (Deutsche Krebshilfe).

At the moment Marc Schlaeppi is particularly interested in malignant melanoma, integrative oncology and the question how two realms can act synergistically in behalf of modern and truly humane medicine.
