Monika Layer, RN, MAS

Born in Stuttgart in 1957, Monika Layer graduated as registered nurse in Berlin. She is nursing instructor, absolved various management trainings (among others MAS Public Management at ZFH), and is an expert in rhythmical embrocation according to Wegman/Hauschka of the International Forum for Anthroposophic Nursing (IFAN), in Anthroposophic Nursing IFAN, and in phytotherapy according to Ursel Bühring.

Since 1992 Monika Layer has lived and worked in Switzerland. After various assignments as education manager in nursing schools and hospitals she now works as advanced practice nurse and head of the nursing department at the Center for Integrative Medicine of the Kantonsspital St.Gallen.

Monika Layer is president of the Swiss association for anthroposophic nursing (Verband für Anthroposophische Pflege e.V.), member of the management committee of IFAN and board member of the International Council of Anthroposophic Nursing Associations ICANA. She is the author and editor of various specialist publications on external applications and a freelance speaker and seminar instructor.
